Biography

Richard spent his childhood enrolled in various international schools across the globe and developed a love of learning, travel and experiencing other cultures. This upbringing has given him insight into the needs of children growing up in international schools from their perspective, allowing him to connect with his pupils and appreciate their individuality as well as their diverse backgrounds. Richard has recently begun realising his lifelong dream to teach, first working at the British School of Tashkent while qualifying to become a fully recognised international PGCE teacher. As a young, newly qualified teacher he has accessed the latest theory and training available and can bring passion, dynamism and personality into the classroom to inspire his students to love learning. He is a keen advocate of making learning accessible, interesting and focused on a balance between acquiring key life skills as well as fundamental knowledge. He believes that all students are capable of academic success and deserving of an education which supports their growth into well-rounded, successful individuals. Richard is excited to work alongside the professionals at the Westminster International School in Tashkent and looking forward to an excellent academic year!
